Research grant
The first phase was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), in conjunction with the Higher Education Quality Council (HEQC), with a total budget of 68,610 pounds (award reference L123251071).
The second phase was funded by the ESRC, with co-funders the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), with a total budget of 53,293 pounds (award reference L123251074).
The project is part of the ESRC's research programme on 'The Learning Society'.
